Series

Introduction of the Series

This series is comprised of a single string of images taken, with one set of them specially prepared for the individual that requested them be put into “something pretty”.  There are 5 different Scripture segments that were used to create this special set of images which would be good reminders of the Word of God to everyone that has the opportunity to see them.  The format for this Series is 8×10, as well as presenting two size backgrounds: 1024×768 and 1280×1024.

The three middle three (3) prints were designed for the requester, with the ones on each end being added such that it would be a built set of prints instead of ones that needed to be displayed in different places.  The design concept helps to keep the center choices from seemingly being out of place and having them in a room clashing with each other or cause confusion because of the order in which they are placed. All of the presented items, references for this specific and special series are from a special gift – which include some of our MOST beautiful gladiolas.

NOTE: All of the photography presented in this series is the work of Melissa & William Turner, of which we are blessed to have taken from our own flower beds Summer 2011.

Prints Presentation Information

The following list presents the catch words, as well as presenting the verses following the group, which they were developed from which is coordinated with the petals of the blooming flowers, which allows for a soft light to be projected from the outside.

  • Stand
  • Requests
  • Together
  • Peace
  • Faith

In order to fully grasp those words as presented, the supporting Scripture verse was included to just one of the references, to round out the message presented for the following:

  • “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11 | KJV
  • “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6 | KJV
  • “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 | KJV
  • Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.Acts 18:9b-10 | KJV
  • “Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 6:23 | KJV

Explanation of the Shots

No doubt a few folks will take a look at the prints, wondering what kind of blooms they are from…  Take a closers look, they are flipped over!  Had noticed as this specific batch we being chosen that the first order of business was to go GET the CAMERA from inside to work on some shots being taken for a VERY special bouquet for a very SPECIAL more mature couple who would be tying the knot so to speak on June 18, 2011.

As the bouquet was being put together, noticed that the blossoms would set up nice and pretty if they were flipped over.  The first one was the light purple shown on this page, which was turned up on the bottom post of the front porch where it sat up SO pretty.  As more and more of the stems were cut from our front flower bed that has over 4,000 bulbs in it, it became overwhelmingly apparent that the lighting was providing a perfect opportunity to take remarkable shots. Each color being used to create the 22 stem floral arrangement, which would make it’s debut in a set not of my knowing at the time.

An incredible set of stems, with vibrant blooms and near flawless lighting, made this one of the most enjoyable photography sessions this year!
