Reminders

The challenge for today, with a group which can be identified with high regard, is about who we Remind each other of and the Influences we have on other people.  Those two words are the focus (1) Reminders – those who have impacted, changed, enhanced us and (2) Influences – the flowing from us into others as God the Holy Spirit has allowed the waters of His Holiness within each of us as Christians.  The realization that is desired to be conveyed today is that no matter where you are in your Christian walk, having NO consideration of your age or any apparent difficulty experienced, we have the ability and responsibility to share Jesus Christ the Saviour with all whom we have the opportunity.

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 | King James Version

This verse shows us that once we have Believed on Jesus Christ as our Saviour, as the Scripture has said (God’s Word), then everything that we do should flow out of us as unto the Lord.

“For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.” Romans 14:8 | King James Version

This Series looks at the life of Timothy, that we might see both the Reminders and the Influences that Paul the Apostle had upon him throughout Timothy’s life.  But before we look at those, we need to carefully consider three words from the verse above, “unto the Lord/LORD.”  That tied in with John 7:37 and 38 above, gives us a picture of what Christ would have each of us to do – every thing that we do should have the tell-tale sign of being done as though it were being done for/to the Saviour directly.  Others should be able to tell the difference between how the world reacts and how we act towards others – especially when we think no one is looking – God the Father is always looking, the Son of God our Saviour is always present and the Holy Spirit resides in us as we are the Temple of the Holy Spirit.  Bearing in mind that thought, we are never alone…
