Scripture Verses
Each of the selected Scripture verses have been taken from the King James Version Bible from an in depth Bible study on the words that make up the phrase “Light of the World” The word “light” is used some 297 times in the Bible, with 198 of them found in the Old Testament and just 99 of them found in the New Testament. Interestingly enough the first use of the word “light is found in Genesis 1:3 and for a final time in Revelation 22:5, covering the entire Bible as in a ribbon found in God’s Holy Word. In 50 books of the Bible, one can find reference to the word “light”. The following are the Scripture verses listed in order as they are used for the cards.
- Cannot Be Hid: “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
