What is On-Line Learning?
On-Line Learning is used to describe any Internet Web site that provides higher learning curriculum in electronic form. Many sites provide on-line learning as part of their extended education offerings while others provide courses only on-line.
The goal of On-Learning is to provide access to individuals who would not be able to attend a physical location, for reasons such as: distance - where individuals live too far from a physical campus to attend regular classes; need for flexibility – some individuals need the flexibility to study at home whenever it is convenient for them to do so.
Program delivery in a On-Line Learning Web site is administered through communications mediums such as web pages, e-mail and other networked sources. On-Line Learning programs can be marketed to any individual who has on-line access to provide learning experiences and training in an open access format.
Individuals can benefit from this type of access to learn and expand there exposure to many different cultures, aspects of education and knowledge in a manner which makes it possible to do so at any given time day or night. By allowing this type of flexibility and access, much more exposure to higher education is possible.
