A great big headline to catch some attention, because everyone likes attention

So you understand the roaring wave of fear that swept through the greatest city in the world just as Monday was dawning--the stream of flight rising swiftly to a torrent, lashing in a foaming tumult round the railway stations, banked up into a horrible struggle about the shipping in the Thames, and hurrying by every available channel northward and eastward. By ten o'clock the police organisation, and by midday even the railway organisations, were losing coherency, losing shape and efficiency, guttering, softening, running at last in that swift liquefaction of the social body.

This Series, as a few have been, builds on a Series previous to it from a statement that was made, which is the following:

“Help them reach up, to touch the hem of a Merciful Saviour…”

From those few words came twenty (20) passages of Scripture which became the building blocks for an AMAZING Bible Study on how we are to bring, lead and tell others how they can be made perfectly whole as can be seen in Matthew 14:36

And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
Matthew 14:36 | King James Version

Absolute Clarity

From the very beginning of hearing those words spoken in the last few minutes of a video, there was a remembrance of the story of in Matthew 14 and Mark 6 about the people bringing the people to the streets so that “hem” or “border” of His garment might be touched – and they would be made whole.  The words kept coming…  As the searching was continued, there were five (5) words that were jotted down to contain the realm to develop the Series from, including:

hem, touch, merciful, border & garment

Those words gave me the opportunity to fill out the statement as “border” would be the “next” closest word to “hem” for Scripture digging and “garment” would be what they were hoping to touch, as indicated by the only two verses with “hem” in them pertaining to Christ.

We have, as Christians and co-laborers with Christ, the responsibility to help others get access to the Saviour – it is our sowing opportunity and His Harvest to do so.

These twenty (20) words are an incredible roadway which is paved with Scripture for us to realize we are to help others to the Saving Knowledge of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the World.  We have to (1) Reach them so they can have the opportunity to seek (14) Refuge from this wicked world and know they can have (20) Salvation provided by God’s Son as the payment once and for all for our complete Redemption.

As can be seen with the introduction sentence for these Reaching verses, they are directly connected together like a puzzle, each of them building to the end result, which is our purpose for being left in this world – leading others to the heart knowledge of Salvation in Jesus Christ alone.  Could this be just the pieces that we each need to see to understand how that is so?  Each passage of Scripture is an incredible means for each of us to see what countless others in the Scriptures would do and did to bring others to an understanding of how much the Heavenly Father loves each of us.  It is a different perspective which not only got my heart racing, but my soul charged and directed to make sure that those in my daily living get to hear how to “Reach” out to a Merciful Saviour for “Salvation” because that is the beginning and should be the desired result for everyone we meet.
