For This Cause

The phrase “for this cause” appears 24 times in the Bible, only once in the Old Testament and 23 in the New Testament.  Thus the 10 prints for this series are built around this specific phrase and speak of Lord and what He has done for us already, taken from Colossians chapter 1, verse 9 through 17 of the New Testament.  It speaks of His love for us.

The phrase itself only appears once in this passage, but when the theme phrase is to be applied to each of the verses, it is plainly seen that indeed a cohesion is present.  In making these verses personal, as well as continuing to recognize the person of Christ, allows for making the collective of them a powerful encouragement tool.  Given that notice, please keep in mind, each of them is intended to stand, with solid footing, by itself.

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
