Biblical Position

All Scripture is used on this site will be the Authorized King James Version. No if’s, and’s or but’s. This is a foundational stand, not a preference.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

We want to be those Brethren of God and hold in our hands the Word of God. We have to know this, it is not a matter of private interpretation as shown to us in II Peter 1:20 | KJV

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.”
II Peter 1:20 | King James Version

All Scripture references will be marked KJV/King James Version as to remove ANY and ALL doubt as to what is being referred. Where we are all in one accord, we can draw hope.

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”

Given that hope is what is my conviction to share, also notice that no pot shots have been taken at any translation others may use.

Biblical Statements of Faith

When making any statement of what is believed, it is my belief that there will be only one Word that will stand – that Word is God’s, not man’s. When someone asks me about my opinion on this matter or that matter and what manner of this would be my take – it is my of my humble opinion to follow Christ’s example “For it is written…”

Those that know me personally and countless others that have even seen me from afar, in general will tell you that I do not beat to the world’s drum and that my desire is to serve my Lord and Savior. What’s The Catch?

You mean there has to be one? Actually, there are several catches… A preliminary look at the definition of “Encourage” is required to understand the “catches”, which we find in Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary to mean the following:

ENCOUR’AGE, v.t. enkur’rage.

To give courage to;
to give or increase confidence of success;
to inspire with courage, spirit, or strength of mind;
to embolden;
to animate;
to incite;
to inspirit.

Thus we see it is “to give, inspire, embolden, animate, incite, inspirit” something which we want a person to “have, possess or participate” because of being exposed to this catching process.

The First Catch

To be Encouraged in the Lord…

“Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.”
Psalm 31:24 | King James Version

We have “…Hope in the Lord” because we are blood bought, born again, sins forgiven, redeemed Children of God. Our Hope is in nothing less than Jesus Christ! As a Christian, we can read the back of the book and KNOW that we WIN! Everything shared within this Website is intended to Encourage and all of it is accessible for you to be Encouraged in the Lord!

The Second Catch

For another to be Encouraged by You in the Lord…

“Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that which is good in his sight.”
I Chronicles 19:13 | King James Version

As we show others compassion and make of ourselves to Encourage others, as this verse says “Be of good courage…”, they will find themselves wanting to know how you did this or that, while at the same time being able to see “who” your God really is by the way and manner in which you do so. The key to this verse for follow through is “…let us behave…” where we include ourselves that they might identify themselves as we do, wanting the relationship we have with Christ to be evident in their lives.

The Third Catch

That each of us would seek out those we can Encourage who will Encourage themselves in the Lord…

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.”
I Samuel 30:6 | King James Version

This time and discovery in David’s life was possible for him to triumph because he knew how to Encourage himself in the LORD – he’d trusted Him and seen Him work in his very own life, not just through others he could see from afar off. Not only did he Encourage himself, he Encouraged others around him to be so also. The same is to be seen, known and said of us…

The Result

Plain and simply, we “Encourage” others by pointing them to the Lord, sharing with them what the Lord provides for us from His Word and by challenging them to lean on the Lord for EVERYTHING. We’ve been blessed to be an Encouragement to others as the Lord has enabled, which we are suppose to share that Good News with everyone we meet – not just those that we know. Guess what happens with that person??? They have already started at The First Catch and are well underway to perform The Second Catch…
