This thought-provoking Series has taken some time to build, research and “get a good handle on” – for a good ole Southern explanation… Most of the time, as it seems in the “modern age”, when the word “Etiquette” is mentioned, my mind at least goes right to formality and minding one’s manners. Generally that comes with the concept of not wanting to embarrass the host of whatever event or special occasion we may be in attendance. Being more refined and proper, even if for a mere little time, can remind us of the kindness and thought we should show others for such times as those.
Would it not stand to reason (troubling word sometimes) that it would be easier and a WHOLE lot simpler if we had those manners all the time, it certainly would take off the pressure of remembering which fork, spoon, knife, plate, cup, napkin and such to use for that “special” dinner would it not? That is the driving intent of this Series, for us to consider God’s Word as it is the written Life & Situation Book for us to have the “Manner’s Guide” so to speak right in our very hands.
God Has NOT Changed
Amazing what this set of “Written” Word gives us in how we should not only strive to live peaceably our Creator God, but also with man. Personally am thrilled that they are “Written” down for the ages, so we would know how we are supposed to be as Christians, whether that be positionally, by declaration or any host of other manners. You “may” have to be careful in going through this site – the Holy Spirit may move you off the board in which you may be seated upon… this is a Revival Series – God’s Word WILL CHANGE US, but we have to be WILLING!
God’s Holy Word, written by human penmen, under direct Inspiration of the Holy Spirit, gives each of us SO much more than we may realize. The presentation of these fifteen words has been an incredible walk and work for me to consider in how I personally present myself to God the Creator. These concepts and word pictures have not changed – we DO NOT have to wait for the “newest” or latest “update” to arrive on the store shelves of the local bookstore or be made available on-line through the Internet for us to know how we are suppose to “BE” for the LORD!
The oldest “word” in the list is the word “Consideration” which is referenced from Deuteronomy 4:39 | KJV, which is foundational for the Bible as we know it today – written thousands of years ago in the reminder to the Children of Israel living in Canaan that they might be reminded of how to live for Jehovah in their generation, so those that followed would continue to do so. These Biblical “words to live by” form a Framework for daily living and interaction with everyone, which first begins with our Creator: God.
Consider These Words
Here are the words in alphabetical order – consequently, the first word developed was Acceptable and the last word developed was Righteousness – which the order of the remaining thirteen were not alphabetical in design rest assured.
