Welcome to The Encouragement Chronicles

The THIRD edition of The Encouragement Chronicles for 2013 features five Series as they were all created from the same set of meetings, our Winter Revival this year. Through five wonderful services, challenges were presented to us corporately, as a family and individually.  It is really up to us what we do with what we have been convicted over and whether or not we will are willing to be changed by the Holy Spirit.

Each of the five Series sets were launching pads for the Series, so it is NOT a verbatim feed back of just what Dr. Capaci challenged us with, it so happens to be my searching and desire for the Holy Spirit to change me.  The Series development is given in order of service time, as in: (1) Sunday morning, (2) Sunday evening, (3) Monday, (4) Tuesday and (5) Wednesday.

  1. Revive Us Again
  2. Our Revival Circle
  3. Seeking To Be Revived
  4. The Faithful Desire Revival
  5. A Few of Many Need Reviving

As is sought with most Series being worked on, I specifically ask God the Father to change me – on the inside first, remind me of the purchase price of my Salvation which is ONLY Jesus Blood and then give me the opportunity to learn how to apply those lessons into creative presentations so others may be attracted to the same Truth the Lord has shown me.  It’s a tall order — have one hard head at times – but as time goes along, my willingness to submit has been so rewarded in having that change in me that others can see.  It is after all, my desire with this Series and each that I’m allowed to create for everyone who receives the Chronicles and those that pass it along, to point others to the Saviour, tell of the time that can be enjoyed speaking to God the Father and knowing in a more real way that the Holy Spirit resides in me.

Do remember this is the once a month, large issue if you will, showcase manner in which The Encouragement Chronicles highlights the goings on of things happening with DeliverTheWord.com. These editions will naturally be larger providing everyone with a power packed collection new items to learn about and see how they have been used!

Series Showcase | Revive Us Again

Website | http://delivertheword.com/reviveusagain

Are there words to even describe what a Revival actually should be?  Many times we may think of them as being a “Revival Meeting” which is what has been my recall of them – a Summer Pulpit Revival Series for instance or a Winter Revival.  Many of us have seen or heard the following verse of Scripture referenced, as is the title for this Series built upon:

“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?”
Psalm 85:6 | King James Version

Revive Us Again

“And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.”
I John 2:28-29 | King James Version

1024×768 (SVGA/XGA) | 1280×1024 (SXGA) | e-Courage

When the state of our world is contemplated, how we have squandered our religious freedoms and released our values, it reminds me that the Voice of the LORD should be our director — not one we at all points turn away from. Habakkuk shared his realization to the LORD in this manner at the beginning of this Verse of Scripture:

“O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.”
Habakkuk 3:2 | King James Version

The Bible reminds us, from the Word given unto Paul, written in Romans, the charge of how our lives are to be aligned.  The world does NOT do this and sad to say, MANY Christians have no idea what they have been Saved from or Saved unto as they aimlessly wander (and wonder) around.

“For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.”
Romans 14:8-9 King James Version

What We Are All To Be Doing Right Now

The header above will strike most folks odd…  Look at it, almost a brain twister isn’t it?  Your mind wants to say “What We All Are To Be Doing Right Now”, but the words “We Are” are together on purpose.  WE ARE, All of us, to:

  • Abide In Him
  • Doeth Righteousness
  • Have Confidence
  • Hope In Glory
  • Not Be Ashamed
  • Pray Unto The Father
  • Tell Our Own Testimony
  • Sharing The Gospel
  • Walk With God

This Series being built upon a WONDERFUL time our family has had for what God has done in all of us through a godly man who was willing to do what God the Father has called him to do in a time aptly named a Winter Revival at our church.  Bro. Capaci was faithful to deliver, but each of us has to be faithful to be revived!

How does the above list describe your life?  The verse following is the key builder to showing us how it should be!

Scripture References used in this Series are contained here.

Basis Passage

“Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself: I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:”
Acts 26:1-2 | King James Version

Action Passage

“And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.”
I John 2:28-29 | King James Version

Supporting Passages

“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?”
Psalm 85:6 | King James Version

“O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.”
Habakkuk 3:2 | King James Version

“For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.”

Series Spotlight | Our Revival Circle

Website | http://delivertheword.com/ourrevivalcircle

This second installment for this Revival Series contains an incredible presentation of Bible Scripture matched to profound Revival Quotes.  The focus of this set uses a Quote from Gypsy Smith as a launching point for us to consider in our seeking Revival in each of us: “Experiencing the Start of Revival.”  His prescription for doing so was to draw a circle, get yourself in it and ask God to convert US ourselves, essentially creating “Our Revival Circle” which is what this Series is named.

Do We Really Want Revival?

That is the question that has to be asked – for the answer comes from deep within us and no one else can answer that question for us individually.  It must be a realization that something is wrong in our own lives and something wrong with our loves.  The following definitions from the word “Revive” should help each of us more perfectly focus on the trouble.

Revival | REVI’VAL, n. [from revive.]

1. Return, recall or recovery to life from death or apparent death; as the revival of a drowned person.

2. Return or recall to activity from a state of languor; as the revival of spirits.

3. Recall, return or recovery from a state of neglect, oblivion, obscurity or depression; as the revival of letters or learning.

4. Renewed and more active attention to religion; an awakening of men to their spiritual concerns.

I have to, you have to, we all have to realize that ANY thing, item, going which comes before our following God the Father is a “step” from which we each will have to return.  It is personal, fiercely so, of which has to be taken care of at the foot of the Cross.  Will I draw our circle around the Cross with me IN the circle?  Will you?  Will we challenge others – ONLY after we have done so ourselves – to rekindle a walking Relationship with our Lord?

Series Spotlight | Seeking To Be Revived

Website | http://delivertheword.com/seekingtoberevived

The third installment for this Revival Series presents six passages of Scripture, which matches up with the third service of an incredible time in God’s Word which our family has been immensely BLESSED!  The photos used in this Series are pulled from here and there, including our Biltmore Estate collection, the breathtaking Gladiola flowerbed collection and a couple from a different perspective than most people would view them.  A couple of these have never been seen before, which were taken for specific private projects  — which is EXACTLY what this Series is all about.  We’ve each as Christians been Revived at least once in our lifetimes – at Salvation

Praise Thee, O Lord My God…
“For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone. Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.”
Psalm 86:10-13 | King James Version

What Are You Seeking?

Everyone is looking for something, many people just want to find something – anything…  As Blood bought Believers, our vision should be “adjusted” to Seek out those that Jesus Sought and our lives to be Moved by those who Christ would Move in order they might be Saved.  In that vision, we need to see the need — because we once were seen in that same manner, lost without a Shepherd — then we can moved to help fill that need.  Know anyone who thinks they have strayed too far? Possibly know of those who believe their voice has never been heard and need to know He will hear their Midnight Cry?  Oh, if they only knew who we really are!

EOS_0608_01_Matthew9_36-38-SeekingToBeRevived_8x10L_v1_10-135 EOS_5090_02_IPeter5_6-9-SeekingToBeRevived_8x10L_v1_10-135 HP_1277_03_Colossians3_12-14-SeekingToBeRevived_8x10L_v1_10-135

It may not be a matter or whether or not we see who those who are looking for answers, but rather whether we really see their actual need of the Saviour and the working of the Holy Spirit in their lives.  Jesus saw their need – He put it in these words:

“But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.Matthew 9:36-38 | King James Version

In our day-to-day lives, are we taking the time to seek the Mind of the Lord?  Dr. Capaci made a very profound statement in Revival services:

“I wonder how it is with that soul?”

EOS_0608_01_Matthew9_36-38-SeekingToBeRevived_12x18_Canvas_v1_00-135 EOS_5090_02_IPeter5_6-9-SeekingToBeRevived_12x18N_Canvas_v1_00-135 HP_1277_03_Colossians3_12-14-SeekingToBeRevived_12x18N_Canvas_v1_00-135

Are we willing to do our part, being the first to be on our knees before the Holy and All Powerful Creator God asking Him for the tools, study and learning opportunities to not only reach them, but FIRST to recognize them — right in the very paths which we cross on a daily basis?  There is HOPE in the Lord – folks need to be told about that Blessed HOPE more than ever in our day and time!

We Make The Decision

It is each one of us who has to decide that we will be the Seeker, but that begins with asking for a change not only in position but as a matter of the heart.  The Lord Jesus gave us the three part promise in the following verses of Scripture:

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8 | King James Version

Just as this third installment of this Revival Series set puts forth, are we “Seeking to be Revived?“  If we will humble ourselves, you and I, confess our sins – for we all have committed them, then are truly Seeking – we are certain to find…

Scripture References

The six Scripture references used for this Series stemmed from this statement made by Dr. Capaci:

“84% of Who, How, What that moves us has to do with our sight – it was What Jesus Saw With His Eyes That Moved Him”

HP_0252_04_Colossians3_15-16_SeekingToBeRevived_16x24_Canvas_v1_00-135 EOS_3520_Jude1_20-23-SeekingToBeRevived_16x24_Canvas_v1_00-135 EOS_0643_06_Psalm86_10-13-SeekingToBeRevived_16x24_Canvas_v1_00-135
  1. Matthew 9:36-38 | King James Version
  2. I Peter 6:5-9 | King James Version
  3. Colossians 3:12-14 | King James Version
  4. Colossians 3:15-16 | King James Version
  5. Jude 1:20-23 | King James Version
  6. Psalm 86:10-13 | King James Version

Each of them should provoke us to call out to Our God, seeking His Forgiveness and His complete indwelling by the Holy Spirit.

Series Spotlight | The Faithful Desire Revival

Website | http://delivertheword.com/thefaithfuldesirerevival

The fourth installment for this Revival Series presents thirteen passages of Scripture in a manner quite convicting, dealing particularly with areas in a Christian’s life that affect each and everyone of us.  To have have these areas be discovered while preparing this Series from the same Revival Services as the first three, has been triggered by a word, which is “Faithful” and a verse:

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
I Corinthians 4:2 | King James Version

O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
Psalm 31:23 | King James Version

1024×768 (SVGA/XGA) | 1280×1024 (SXGA) | e-Courage

We The Faithful

It may be a play on words, as in “We The People…”, but oftentimes people think that because they are at church every time the doors are open that they are doing exactly what God the Father would have them do, that they are following in Jesus Christ’s footsteps and are exercising the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.  Right?!  The answer is a BIG fat NEGATIVE on that one.  If I’ll be honest with my Creator God, then it is going to be quickly discovered that I’m human – we all are.

01-XSi31109_AllDoings-TheFaithfulDesireRevival_8x10_v1_04-135 02-XSi28155_Assembling-TheFaithfulDesireRevival_8x10_v1_04-135 03-XSi29571_Families-TheFaithfulDesireRevival_8x10_v1_04-135 04-X17153_Fellowship-TheFaithfulDesireRevival_8x10_v1_04-135

We can be faithful to lots of things and be just as rotten to the core as fruit, but with very few even noticing it, but we cannot fool God.  I’d like to have all thirteen (13) of these areas RIGHT in my life at all times, sadly though, it must be confessed – it simply isn’t so.  Will you be honest enough with me, yourself, those around you and the Lord – saying that we need help in all of these areas?

05-X09604_Friendships-TheFaithfulDesireRevival_8x10_v1_04-135 06-XSi30215_Prayer-TheFaithfulDesireRevival_8x10_v1_04-135 07-XSi29590_Relationships-TheFaithfulDesireRevival_8x10_v1_04-135 08-XSi27968_Service-TheFaithfulDesireRevival_8x10_v1_04-135

The list isn’t exhaustive, but what a starting point Dr. Capaci began by telling us of his own journey of faithfulness.  He had five points, which, YES I made into thirteen – the Holy Spirit challenged me in each of them because of being in the position of seeking it for my own life.

  1. IN All Doings
  2. IN Assembling
  3. IN Families
  4. IN Fellowship
  5. IN Friendships
  6. IN Prayer
  7. IN Relationships
  8. IN Service
  9. IN Small Things
  10. IN Spiritual Things
  11. IN Stewardship
  12. IN Thinking
  13. IN Worship

This Series presents the framework of areas needing attention as being like this: The Faithful Desire Revival IN _____.  Fill in the blank.  Journey with me through these areas identified in my own life and commit to seeking God’s Hand in our lives to Revive us to where these areas are in constant check and bringing a sweet smelling savor to the Master’s nostrils.

Poem Written For Revival Series

To ask ourselves, “What can make you move?” is a question indeed worthy of being asked.  This poem was written in response to the Revival Service in which Courtney was moved by – a direct influence of the question itself being asked in her own heart and mind. What could be more fitting for this poem than a Resurrection Lily?  The Lord Jesus Christ was moved with Compassion when He saw the multitudes. With a build up like the following, you will have to be the one to decide!

First | The Choir sang “I’m Amazed”

Second | Congregational Singing of “My Saviour’s Love” and “The Longer I Serve Him” Medley

Third | Special Music by Ladies Trio of “Out Of His Great Love”

Fourth | Congregational Singing of “What A Day That Will Be”

Fifth and READY to Launch | Dr. Eric Capaci Opening and Asking Us: “What Is It That Moves Us?”

Could almost just stop right there and let that be it!  But it gets EVEN better – BUZZ across my phone comes a “Thank you Eric Capaci!” and a button to click for a picture.  After a tap of the screen and a brief wait, the poem below is what we poured over into my “sight”…  And another note that said “I know it is blurry, but I couldn’t wait for you to see it!!“  Could there be sweeter words from a 15 year old — texted while she is ENGAGED in Revival Services?

Available Sizes: 1024×768 (SVGA/XGA) | 1280×1024 (SXGA) | e-Courage

Dr. Capaci sharing in his introduction of services in a church here in North Carolina and the playing of Victory in Jesus for the final roll call for just “one person who had been the least bit stirred” upset my apple cart as I spilled over in the thought and acknowledgement to the Lord myself.  Unfortunately not being able to sit in the the service first hand had me unaware what was being measured to our daughter – but we were being challenged by the same Holy Spirit, which come to realization through a buzz of a text message…

Will you go ahead and Move already?  Tag, YOU are it!

Series Spotlight | A Few of Many Need Reviving

Website | http://delivertheword.com/afewofmanyneedreviving

The fifth and final installment for this Revival Series presents a most compelling and indicting charge as to what is the largest tragedy facing our world today – so few people are concerned with Spiritual Things as it has to do with Eternal Life in God’s Heaven that has already been paid for by the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ.  The launching point for this discovery which leads to the answer to question of the ages is found in Jeremiah 42:1-4 | KJV:

“Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near, And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:) That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do. Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.”
Jeremiah 42:1-4 | King James Version

We were challenged as a church to consider “IF it is even possible to start something?”, which must first begin with a Volunteer – someone willing to get themselves to a place where one could be Revived themselves, such that it could spread to our congregation.  Dr. Capaci, in his final service with us, quickly had our attention locked on considering what kind of Love we have for the Saviour, addressing different kinds of love, leading to our contemplation of a Supreme Love for Jesus.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:34-35 | King James Version

1024×768 (SVGA/XGA) | 1280×1024 (SXGA) | e-Courage
  1. Intro to Commitment – Only A Few On Fire
  2. Fervent Love For Others
  3. Love This Book
  4. Willing To Forsake To Be Used

Just as the remnant sought of the Prophet Jeremiah in their day, will we – NOT just are we willing – as they did, beseech the LORD so that He will show us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do?

This final collection of Revival Series presentations presents us with ten (10) challenges of where it all starts and how others will see that A Great Revival Is In Our Soul!  Matching up to these just on the first time round will show us just where we are for the moment – and our lives are lived moment by moment.  Personally, I want to be found having that Supreme Love for my Saviour, doing what He has asked each of His Followers to do.

Beginning with the very first Scripture reference which our congregation was challenged on this closing evening, we knew right then that it was not going to be the usual wrap up – and FAR from it has it been…  Not like some feel good service done in a large coliseum, we had CHURCH not only in our midst, but within our hearts – a challenge to LOVE God’s Son the way Jesus Christ loved us – getting to a place where we would be willing to give our lives.  This after all is what was His sharing with us how others would Know we indeed were His.

DeliverTheWord.com is purely about being an “Encouragement” and delivering it “From God’s Holy Word” to and for positively everyone. It is the on-line portfolio and extension of an insatiable desire to study God’s Word of William A. Turner. It is a place where I post all kinds of work – may be a simple one print piece, specific Encouragement developed for a friend, an incredible sermon outline as preached by our Pastor, challenges brought by one our our Pastoral Staff, or a fantastic concept seen elsewhere that needed to be re-engineered to more perfectly apply to God’s Word. Every concept, design, and print developed on this site is available for the purpose of Encouragement. Click here to go to site.
