Having Integrity

ARTWORK_HavingIntegrity_8x10L_v1_06-IntegrityBlack-333p

This Series has been a work in progress over a VERY short period of time. Just this past Sunday morning we were privileged to have The Clark Family at our church for our Family Day 2013 activities from Solid Rock Baptist Church in New Jersey. Those familiar with DeliverTheWord.com will easily recall the young Master Travis Clark performing and singing “He Knows My Name“, which has to be my all time favorite live performance from an “under four footer” ever!

Bro. Michael was in charge of our Adult Bible Study Men’s program for Family Day this year, while his wife, Carla was taking care of teaching our Ladies during the Sunday School hour. The “handout” for his session was a single half sheet that might have looked mundane at first, but once he got started, we found out that he was getting down to business quickly.

Our challenge was centered around the word: INTEGRITY. Represented by few small phrases:

  • entireness
  • no part missing
  • moral soundness
  • purity
  • unbroken

Then came the phrase that stuck with me:

“Being on the Inside
What is Portrayed on the Outside”

This Series covers every letter in the word INTEGRITY, with a look at how we are to live and keep our Integrity intact for the cause of Christ.

00_Introduction_HavingIntegrity_8x10L_v1_06-Preview

As each of the areas of INTEGRITY are looked over, remember that we are NOT left here alone to defend ourselves against the onslaught of the devil – Job will be the centerpiece to understanding what real Bible INTEGRITY really is. Job had “integrity”, otherwise God the Father would have never subjected him to the wiles of the devil to prove it.

Introduction and Closing Phrases

  • Having Integrity
  • Mine Integrity

Indeed each us will have our own INTEGRITY to account for and to live out before those that are around us and before the very eyes of our Lord.
Phrases for INTEGRITY

  • Individual Thing, No One Can Take It
  • No One May Know That You Don’t Have It
  • Truth Destroys It
  • Everyone Is Affected By It
  • God Knows It
  • Right Behaviors Always Displays It
  • Immorality Destroys It
  • Temptation/Testing Reveals It
  • Your Future Depends On It

May we, each one of us, be a Christian Witness and have INTEGRITY in all that we say and do!

God’s Best For Us

ARTWORK_GodsBestForUs_8x10L_v1_02-GodsBestForUs-Titling-Coffee-419p

This Series is one developed for a Special Friend and created in a somewhat odd manner – going backwards instead of forwards in Scripture research. The title is simply “God’s Best For Us”, conveying the true wants of God the Father toward His children from His Word. He has prepared for us and places in us, as Christians, what is Best for Us – we have to be the ones who seek the Relationship with Him to understand and comprehend it.

The focus of this print is “Even This”, meaning that God’s Best For Us includes those trials that we just don’t think we can bare, those where our hands are up in the air – with the wonderment deep down in our souls as to why. If there is that one “something” that I’ve been taught through being used to Encourage others, it would be ENCOURAGE as the Holy Spirit leads. After all, it is the Lord’s timing that matters in all of time – He’s never delivered it late, I’ve been amazed at how His timing is perfect.

EvenThis_GodsBestForUs_8x10L_v1_02-Preview

While we may not understand how God the Father is using a certain situation, conflict or difficulty in our lives, we can be certain of this – He knows that Even This challenge will be used for His Glory and He WILL reveal it to you and I who will listen to Him.

ARTWORK_GodsBestForUs_8x10L_v1_02-VersePhilippians3_14-15-477p

An additional fourteen (14) images and Scripture verse snippets have been included in this Series which may appear a bit haphazard.  Let me assure you of this, they are in an order, exactly reverse to be exact by Scripture reference.

Phrases | God’s Best For Us

  • As He Walked
  • Glory and Dominion
  • Love One Another
  • Gift Is From Above
  • Everlasting Covenant
  • Remember No More
  • Eternal Salvation
  • We See Jesus
  • Throughly Furnished
  • Even This
  • Sufficient Grace
  • Which Is Perfect
  • We Speak Wisdom
  • Reasonable Service
  • Be Ye Therefore

Each of the roses chosen for this Series was selected based upon the verses of Scripture that were to be used.  Indeed we are to see the high calling as Christians to the beauty of the Gospel of Christ, the Hope of Eternal Salvation, which each of us is Entrusted to Share with others.  When something is not quite right, if we will place ourselves humbly before Him, He is faithful and just to reveal to us what is in need of change – He will Reveal it!

But For A Moment

ARTWORK_ButForAMoment_8x10L_v1_02-MomentLogo-400p

This Series was actually brought into existence during time spent in the hospital for a severe pain management treatment and being able to read a wonderful book entitled:

The Burden Bearer
by Dr. Paul W. Chappell | pgs. 146-47

One specific statement stuck out to me, as it is one that I’ve used for many years now:

“I Am A Realist.”

Can remember a few times that after saying that statement, having a some of the weirdest looks cast my direction – but they understood it once the following simple explanation was given…

Most of the time a realist is considered a person who only accepts things that they can see, touch, smell, taste, manipulate, move, change, hear, overpower, etc. as being “Real”. Typically a Realist, in the World’s sense, is a Scientist and motivated individual whose discovery of what is “Real” to them is what they consider to be “Real”.

If anything, I’m directly the opposite of that in the following manner… We are using science today to prove what I’ve already accepted. It is NOT possible, being the Science and Mathematics person that I am, to even contemplate what we are today came about from some cosmic burp.

  • As a Redeemed Child of God, I’ve been changed in a manner that cannot be “seen” but people can see it in me.
  • As the Temple of the Holy Spirit, I can hear Him speak to me while no one else can, but other people notice the response even though they have never met me before.
  • As a Spirit led Christian, a passage of Scripture can be read 20 times and have 20 different applications, even though the Word of God has not changed – it is me that has changed – which I can relay to others, which we just shake our heads when we find out we’ve been told the same thing, at two different times, besides the fact that person and I’ve never discussed it – ever.
  • As Blood bought Sinner, when I go to the Father to ask Forgiveness and Seek Restoration, there is a quieting of the storm that extends to others who have had that same type of storm because they detect it themselves – all the while, neither individual divulged what their trial actually is, was or has been.
  • As a Praying Christian, a specific person comes upon my heart to pray for – right then, or send a message to, perhaps to call – at the VERY instant that person is at an extreme low – all to find out, by being Faithful – God the Father would use the Holy Spirit to heal a heart that is hurting.
  • The list can go on, and on, and on… Each of these items is REAL and that is why “I Am A REALIST”. Too many things have been shown me in my life to not believe it is REAL.

Are there Moments in your life where there is NO other explanation than Intercession that we’ve had the opportunity to Encourage someone – even when we have NO idea what the challenge might be or has even been? Those “times” can be all kinds of things, even those that we’d prefer didn’t come our way, BUT even those can have a Divine plan set in them that in no other manner would occur.

F01-OriginalMoment_ButForAMoment_8x10L_v1_02-Preview

Is there a fountain of opportunity for us to learn just what a Realist REALLY is? There are all kinds of things we can see which confirm the “Happenings” of the Work of the Holy Spirit, but rarely are they any better known than when they happen to you and me. The more we walk with the Lord, the closer the Relationship will become and so will being able to recognize where He will use us in ways that seem too far fetched for some, or just maybe we will see in that Moment He is showing us something beyond what Science will EVER be able to explain – HIS Power, Love, Grace, Mercy, Faithfulness, Redemption, Forgiveness…

Titles To Consider

These nine (9) statements give us a quick insight as to how this Series sits up, where we will want to eagerly learn the truth of each one as we choose to live for our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

  1. But For A Moment
  2. Joy Cometh In The Morning
  3. Lips That Deal Truly Are His Delight
  4. Have Mercy On Thee, Saith the LORD
  5. We Shall Be Changed
  6. The Just Shall Live By Faith
  7. We Are The Children Of God
  8. It Shall Be Revealed By Fire
  9. When His Glory Shall Be Revealed

May we find that each of us are God’s Realist, for what He says is as Real as Eternity – both in what we need to heed right now and what He has Promised to each of us as Born Again, Blood Bought, Redeemed Children of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

In The Spirit

ARTWORK_InTheSpirit_8x10L_v1_05-InTheSpirit-Logo-200p

Considering the day in which we live, the challenges presented on a moment by moment basis, how else can a Christian walk – but in the Spirit? In order to walk correctly, as you and I should as Christians, there is another element which needs precede the walking, which is TALKING to our Heavenly Father. We, by means which we still have yet to understand, have the ability to do so because of our Faith in Jesus Christ as our Saviour.

01-XSi23849-PrimaryImage_InTheSpirit_8x10L_v1_05-Preview

We are living in a society SO bombarded with technology, presentation and noise from all directions, that if we are not “Praying Always”, there may not be prayer going on much at all. I’ve had to learn to keep my whispering so it can be heard personally and have found an amazing difference in my response to not only the things that challenge me, but the ones that are challenging others. Not just those that have a direct relation to me, but others – no matter who they are!

Attention Focused

My attention was called to this verse of Scripture with a posting from one of our Missionaries for a Pastor who has had blood vessels burst in the brain. At the very bottom of the Web page created to keep others up to date with his prognosis and care was the following verse:

“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”
Ephesians 6:18 | King James Version

The updates for this Pastor’s condition is a reminder to all of us of how we should proceed through our day. As we get to each step in the day, whether that be ours or of one another that we know about, we can indeed (and should) make our moments count on the part of others and ourselves in Prayer.

Challenges For Us | In The Spirit

There are ten (10) focal points in the New Testament for this Series:

  • Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit
  • But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit
  • This I say then, Walk in the Spirit
  • If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit
  • …restore such an one in the spirit
  • And be renewed in the spirit of your mind
  • Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit
  • …yet am I with you in the spirit
  • …justified in the Spirit
  • …live according to God in the spirit

The verses tell us about living and how we should live, not just for others and ourselves, but before a Holy, Loving God! Will you and I today commit that with each step we take to keep the conversation going… The benefits are too many to count, so will the rewards be!

Welcome to The Encouragement Chronicles

The SEVENTH edition of The Encouragement Chronicles contains a whole new set of Series created since the release of the previous Chronicle which have me Encouraged!  This issue comes at a critical point and time for me in that I’ve been out of the hospital for 24 days today with NO headache.  While there are some challenges here and there, for the most part am doing well and have been able to generate seven (7) brand new Series, finish a few books and plan about twenty-one (21) New Series titles to share.  That is to add to the 118 other Series sites already available!

Will focus less on numbers this time around, rather focusing on how we see each other in light of our daily walk and relationships.  The strongest Relationship as Christians is the one with our Lord and Saviour, which when extended to all those that we know, meet and even greet will show through in our every action, word and emotion.

It has come to my attention that some folks just don’t want to read something this big – YES, this is the largest thing that I publish – but I sure would Encourage you to scroll through it to see if something catches your eye or your heart on the way to the bottom of it.

Just in time for Fall, the first four Background Series will be highlighted as the second Spotlight, which have been used as backgrounds  for ministry items around the globe.  Enjoy!

Hope you will be Encouraged by a few New Series and a highlight of a few more! REMEMBER: Share this Chronicle with someone you love and care for, it may be just what they need to be Encouraged.

Do remember this is the once a month, large issue if you will, showcase manner in which The Encouragement Chronicles highlights the goings on of things happening with DeliverTheWord.com. Series Showcase | Consider One Another

Website | http://delivertheword.com/consideroneanother

As this Series has been in the developing stages, so many things have come to mind – some of which have been good things and other which have not been such good as I’d like.  The statement which came to mind over and over again in the study and preparation time is the following:

DESIGN_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-ConsiderOneAnotherLogo-200p

The blue words are taken from the Scriptures in Hebrews 10:24, although those weren’t the first words originally started with for this Series.  With careful review, the “Be of Good Courage” turned into something different – which settled me on the “consider one another“.  That original verse of Scripture is important for us to review, to examine while it may not be first, it is a VERY important to be included – it follows:

“They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage.”
Isaiah 41:6 | King James Version

The challenge for me is the consideration of distance – everyone helped his neighbor with the admonishing of “Be of good courage” – right where they were.  Unfortunately as a society at large, we are removed from the focus on family, friends and neighbors like we were when I was a kid – for they were our society, in rural Kentucky (USA).  Now we travel so much to get where we are going and the people we spend time with are often more miles apart than we may realize.

01-ConsiderOneAnotherTheme_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-135 02-Hebrews10-23_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-135 03-Hebrews10-25_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-135 04-Isaiah41-6_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-135 05-IThessalonians5-11_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-135

The second thought about the verse in this preliminary image for this Series are the black lettered words “meeting together” & “encouraging” – which is to be applied to all that we are around to form the complete action of:

“consider meeting together, one encouraging another”

We should think about, focus on and take time to pray for those people we are around and what impact our lives are making on them, their family and the relationship they have with Christ.  That should ring true whether that is at our homes, at the grocery store, at work, at play, at church…  We can have that “consider” factor, which I’m challenged to remember will come about from our Relationship with our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.  The more like Him we become, the more consideration we will have for those around us and the time we spend with them.

06-Romans1-9_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-135 07-Hebrews3-12_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-135 08-Hebrews3-13_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-135 09-Ecclesiasties4-9_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-135 10-IICorinthians1-2_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-135

We will, almost by not even noticing it because of how natural it will come, experience the way we “consider” others as Christ would have us do so by having that right Relationship with Him.  Let us look at that verse again:

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:”
Hebrews 10:24 | King James Version

By our focus on others, we could actually be the catalyst for others showing love and doing things which are good works as unto the Lord!  That little verse just became a BIG action item and a promising reward for us doing what we ought to do.  Oh what a tender love we can have towards those who may just need to have someone spend a little time with them and who is willing to share with them how the Holy Spirit has worked in us to do something for others for God’s Glory and to Lift Up Christ.

Consider these thoughts from eleven (11) wonderful verses of Scripture:

01-ConsiderOneAnotherTheme_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-Preview
  1. Consider One Another
  2. The Profession of our Faith
  3. Exhorting One Another
  4. Be of Good Courage
  5. Edify One Another
  6. Serve With My Spirit
  7. Take Heed
  8. Exhort One Another
  9. Have a Good Reward
  10. Grace Be To You
  11. Blessed Be God
1024×768 (SVGA/XGA) | 1280×1024 (SXGA) | e-Courage

We have the opportunity and responsibility to Encourage others beyond the world’s definition of self-esteem and believing in one’s self – you and I have not only the Word of God, but access into the very Throne Room of Heaven to the Author of Faith, the One who Paid for us to have it and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to guide us.  Consider One Another, by Meeting Together and Encouraging!

Series Spotlight | Renewing Of The Inner Man

Website | http://delivertheword.com/renewingoftheinnerman

Over the years have heard so many times about folks who are just “worn out” or get “burned out” on the ministry, but rarely does that phrase get applied to a mass group of folks who really exhibit the tendency. Those people are “Christians” in general if you will, who may have never really gotten plugged in to a solid body of Believers. You and I may see or hear of it as many things, including the following:

06-ShallBeTheCovenant_RenewingOfTheInnerMan_8x10L_v1_01-Preview
  • Just don’t have time to read the Bible with all my other stuff
  • Might as well not read that old thing, don’t understand it anyway
  • Got Saved, I’m Good and have my ticket
  • We use to go when we had more time
  • Getting everyone up and ready so early on Sunday is just too much
  • After the kids were up and grown, we didn’t see the need
  • Who needs that stuff, we are doing just as well as anyone that goes to that church
1024×768 (SVGA/XGA) | 1280×1024 (SXGA) | e-Courage

How many more could we add to the list – certain there would be pages… What all of those have in common, is all of them are outward appearances, not an inward inspection. In order to “Renew”, there must be something that is used to refresh, restore and reactivate from the inside so it SHOWS up on the outside. It is a process of Encouragement and being changed by the inner working of the Holy Spirit through God’s Word. It is the process of edification and understanding what God the Father has for us, what the Lord Jesus Christ Redeemed us to have the opportunity to be and what the Holy Spirit guides as we are being each day.

Artwork_RenewingOfTheInnerMan_8x10L_v1_01-IICorinthians4-16-Black-600p

Enlightenment | The Most Dangerous Burning Out

Some folks would think that the word “Edification” and “Enlightenment” mean the same thing. They are NOT anywhere close on the spectrum of meaning of the renewal process. In Buddhism, it is the “awakening to ultimate truth by which man is freed from the endless cycle of personal reincarnations”. For Hinduism, it is the state of transcendent divine experience – the ultimate goal of all religion. Philosophically, it was started as a moment stressing the importance of reason, innovations and the critical re-appraising of existing ideas and social institutions of the times. Edification is more tightly aligned with Spiritual improvement and learning based upon teaching from God’s Word.

Artwork_RenewingOfTheInnerMan_8x10L_v1_01-ByHisSpirit-Title-400p

While there were positive things borne out of the Enlightening times, which would include the propagation of the Word of God to the world, the focus was mainly centered on the individual, while removing the Bible. It is amazing to me that folks will do more for a “religion” in the many steps required, but do not consider that what the Lord really wants is a Relationship than a followship. To boot, He gives us all the Instructions and Tools to make it happen – the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, Spiritual Gifts and Talents.

  • The closer we walk with Him, the more we will talk to Him.
  • The more we talk to Him, the more we will be like Him.
  • The more we are like Him, the renewal process becomes a daily part of our lives.

Worthy Is The Lamb

01-Revelation5-12_WorthyIsTheLamb_8x10L_v1_04-Preview
NEW Series | Worthy Is The Lamb

There are few pieces of music that can move the soul of a person than can ones that are taken directly from the Scriptures. While this piece of music and song is not a “hymn” per se, it is taken directly from the Word of God and is by NO means a beat oriented or originated declaration of worship. The verse of Scripture that is the basis for this Series is taken from Revelation 5:12 | KJV:

“Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.”
Revelation 5:12 | King James Version

My favorite edition of that piece is performed by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. The lyric of the song is slightly modified from the standard edition written by Darlene Zschech to better suit a choir singing and giving reverence to the Lord. The modified edition follows:

Thank You for the Cross Lord
Thank You for the Price You Paid
Bearing All My Sin and Shame
In Love You Came and Gave Amazing Grace

Thank You for This Love Lord
Thank You for the Nail Pierced Hands
Washed Me in Your Cleansing Flow
Now All I Know Your Forgiveness and Embrace

Worthy is the Lamb
Seated on the Throne
We Crown You Now with Many Crowns
You reign victorious

High and Lifted Up
Jesus, Son of God
The Treasure of Heaven Crucified
Worthy is the Lamb
Worthy is the Lamb

Worthy To Receive

In taking a look at that specific verse, there are seven areas which the Lamb is Worthy to receive:

Power, Riches, Wisdom, Strength, Honour, Glory, Blessing

Those seven (7) areas belong to Him and are echoed in the 10 areas of Scripture utilized in this “Worthy Is The Lamb” Encouragement Series. Interesting how the perfect number of God is used in how many items He was Worthy to receive… Of the sixty-nine (69) verses researched for this Series, there are eight (8) that utilize the word “Worthy” and two (2) which speak of Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God and how Christ suffered for us, which rounds out the ten (10) which were used to build this set.
Listing

  • Primary Verse #1 – Worthy Is The Lamb
  • Standard Verse #2 – Thou Art Worthy
  • Standard Verse #3 – Who Is Worthy
  • Standard Verse #4 – Walk Worthy Of The Lord
  • Standard Verse #5 – Walk Worthy Of God
  • Standard Verse #6 – Worthy Of This Calling
  • Standard Verse #7 – Worthy Of All Acceptation
  • Standard Verse #8 – Not Worthy To Be Compared
  • Extended Verse #9 – Behold The Lamb Of God
  • Extended Verse #10 – Author and Finisher Of Our Faith

Indeed as Christians, you and I need to keep ever before us the many reasons that the Perfect Lamb of God is Worthy! As we remind ourselves, walking in light of the continued discoveries, others will be able to be a witness to the change in our lives, as we both serve as a verbal and character witness of His, as well as our willingness to share what our Saviour has done for us. When something is worthy of telling, we are usually first in line to want to share with others what that “worth” is – in this case, the Worth is Eternity and the Worthy is the Lamb who paid for it – for everyone who will Believe on Him.

For The Tough Times

01-Worried-ForTheToughTimes_8x10_v1_04-Preview
Worried? One of many things that our lives can be at times consumed with on the daily life we live. Ever thought about writing down a list of the difficulties we can have in life then take the time to find them in the Word of God? No doubt most people that have any exposure to the Bible, have heard the line “the Bible has the answer to all of life’s questions” or something along line or train of thought. But how many times have we seen an actual list of the passages where these areas have been researched and application made.

The following are thirty-one (31) challenges which have corresponding verses of Scripture for each (on the Series page). Keep in mind these a single points found in the Word of God on the topic, which is only one of possibly many that could be applied.

Worried? • Lacking Trust? • Frustrated? • Tired? • Bereaved? • Too Busy?
Lonely or Fearful? • Feel Rejected? • Sick or In Pain? • Depressed?
Jealous? • Sleepless Nights? • Family Problems? • Done Something Wrong?
Need Courage and Strength? • Facing a Crisis? • Planning the Future? • In Doubt?
Building A New Home? • Money Problems? • Bitter or Critical? • Need Peace?
Need Assurance? • Leaving Home? • Discouraged? • Don’t Understand What God is Doing?
Faith Needs Encouraging? • Hated Because of Your Faith? • Losing Hope?
Alone and Scared? • Hard Times?
The Bible is truly the Book of the Ages, for it not only has survived, each day we live more of it is being proven true. God’s Word contains a map of what has already happened, what we are to be doing and what will come to pass as God the Father has Ordained. May each of us learn to search the Instruction Book for the many answers it holds for the Holy Spirit within to help us as Christians understand such that we will live our lives in the light of the Scriptures.

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
Psalm 23:4 | King James Version

Consider One Another

DESIGN_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-Hebrews10-24-Verse-600p

As this Series has been in the developing stages, so many things have come to mind – some of which have been good things and other which have not been such good as I’d like. The statement which came to mind over and over again in the study and preparation time is the following:

DESIGN_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-ConsiderOneAnotherLogo-200p
The blue words (consider one another) are taken from the Scriptures in Hebrews 10:24, although those weren’t the first words originally started with for this Series. With careful review, the “Be of Good Courage” turned into something different – which settled me on the “consider one another”.

The second thought about the verse in this preliminary image for this Series are the black lettered words “meeting together” & “encouraging” – which is to be applied to all that we are around to form the complete action of:

consider meeting together, one encouraging another

We should think about, focus on and take time to pray for those people we are around and what impact our lives are making on them, their family and the relationship they have with Christ. That should ring true whether that is at our homes, at the grocery store, at work, at play, at church… We can have that “consider” factor, which I’m challenged to remember will come about from our Relationship with our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. The more like Him we become, the more consideration we will have for those around us and the time we spend with them.

01-ConsiderOneAnotherTheme_ConsiderOneAnother_8x10L_v1_04-Preview

  1. Consider One Another
  2. The Profession of our Faith
  3. Exhorting One Another
  4. Be of Good Courage
  5. Edify One Another
  6. Serve With My Spirit
  7. Take Heed
  8. Exhort One Another
  9. Have a Good Reward
  10. Grace Be To You
  11. Blessed Be God

Renewing Of The Inner Man

Artwork_RenewingOfTheInnerMan_8x10L_v1_01-DayByDay-Title-300p

Over the years have heard so many times about folks who are just “worn out” or get “burned out” on the ministry, but rarely does that phrase get applied to a mass group of folks who really exhibit the tendency. Those people are “Christians” in general if you will, who may have never really gotten plugged in to a solid body of Believers. You and I may see or hear of it as many things, including the following:

  • Just don’t have time to read the Bible with all my other stuff
  • Might as well not read that old thing, don’t understand it anyway
  • Got Saved, I’m Good and have my ticket
  • We use to go when we had more time
  • Getting everyone up and ready so early on Sunday is just too much
  • After the kids were up and grown, we didn’t see the need
  • Who needs that stuff, we are doing just as well as anyone that goes to that church

06-ShallBeTheCovenant_RenewingOfTheInnerMan_8x10L_v1_01-Preview

Just a little talk with Jesus… made me whole… makes it right… We indeed an be Renewed Day By Day.  Here are the titles of the nine (9) prints for this Series:

Renewing Of The Inner Man Titles

  1. Day By Day
  2. In Earthen Vessels
  3. Not Destroyed
  4. By His Spirit
  5. Delight In The Law
  6. Shall Be The Covenant
  7. The Candle Of The Lord
  8. Thy Salvation
  9. To The Heart

Refreshing to know that while we may wear out on the outside and even be weary, our Spirit can be refreshed daily and we can walk, talk, do for the Lord as He provides – always…

His Way Always

Artwork_HisWayAlways_8x10P_v2_04-HisWaysAlwaysLogo-Copper-300p

It May Have Started In German…

But We Have the Opportunity in Our Own Language to See How Our Footsteps are Ordered, What Wisdom Chooses, Where Blessings Can be Ours & Who Directs Them By Grace!

A-FirstVerse-Proverbs3-6_HisWayAlways_8x10P_v2_04-Preview

This is one of those Series where the interest for me is VERY time consuming and profitable.  My Dad’s side of the family background is German and has a rich history in the Moravian faith/religion so to speak, so this opportunity to research a German who knew how to get in touch with the LORD was a welcome one!  A man who definitely loved the Lord and did something that many, if not most, musicians of today cannot even do — he wrote metered music, when there wasn’t a meter to use!!!

Commit Whatever Grieves Thee

Artwork_HisWayAlways_8x10P_v2_04-ByPaulGerhardt-150p

Directing Paths

Paul Gerhardt was a very unassuming man, who even in death was not famous during his day by any means, but his basis for his writing of hymns and poetry was the Word of God.  We today must keep in mind that we have the King James Version Bible in our possession, where it was just being printed in his day – where we have the proliferation of many translations and editions in our day, which are readily available to the vast majority of people who are reading this.

Artwork_HisWayAlways_8x10P_v2_04-Proverbs3-6Verse-506p

One of the most important things that can be said about the man is that he knew the Old Testament was THE foretelling of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, he understood who the person of Christ was for each of us and that his writing and music were based upon Scripture.  Just as his paths were being directed, we should realize likewise so are ours – it is the reason that Scripture has been used in this Series BEFORE his published work is shared…  Here is this first verse of the piece (Commit Whatever Grieves Thee) used in this Series:

Artwork_HisWayAlways_8x10P_v2_04-FirstVerseActual-515p

Four Verses

There are four distinct verses to this poem/hymn, each of which a verse of Scripture has been applied:

  1. Direct your footsteps | Direct thy paths… Proverbs 3:6 | KJV
  2. According to His counsel | Walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly… Psalm 1:1 | KJV
  3. His hand is never shortened | The LORD’s hand is not shortened… Isaiah 59:1 | KJV
  4. By the Grace He Sends | That it might be by Grace… Romans 4:16 | KJV

What Will Others Say?

When our lives are over and done with, what will others have to say about us?  Will our lives have pointed to the One who makes the only Eternal difference in our lives, or possibly something shorter than Him?  Gerhardt has over 400 years worth of his life pointing to the Saviour and still has over 90 hymns in different hymnals that are still being sung today!  His legacy was not understood at the time that he passed from time into Eternity, but we can clearly see Who his attention was focused upon by taking a look at Who he spent his time.

Then FAITH Came

ARTWORK_ThenFAITHCame_8x10L_v1_20-ThenFAITHCame-Header-400p

F-XSi_23630_ThenFAITHCame_8x10L_v1_20-Preview
This EXACT one was just what was needed when this book I’d been delaying was picked up, as this was one of the things that had been a personal struggle for weeks before being admitted to the hospital to attempt to shut down a raging episodic Cluster Headache cycle.  What if this one didn’t work?  How much more money would we have to spend over the next however long to get it quieted down – we’d just payed off the treatment two and one-half years ago which stopped working LONG ago.  Then the following statement rang my bell so to speak:

“A Christian who is walking in the flesh never has the right spirit. He is quenching the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and is unable to know the Victory that the Holy Spirit brings over fear.” Dr. Paul W. Chappell

Ok, maybe it was a gong hammer, a REALLY large one – that was NOT seen coming…  Then no sooner than I’d read that a couple of times over to make sure my eyes were getting that to my brain, here comes the next one:

“We need a spirit that holds fast to God’s Promises and claims His Power.” Dr. Paul W. Chappell

What about MY spirit?  It was critical to me to understand that the RIGHT spirit was shown to the people that would be around me, interacting with me and visiting me such that they would KNOW without one doubt WHO was in control of me – even under duress and powerful drug therapy.  It was my FIRST priority to make sure that my representation was RIGHT, for that would cause everything else to fall right in line.

Right there on the page – something SO profound, which I’d missed in a manner of speaking until I’d had the time to THANK my Heavenly Father for being SO GOOD to me and for my Lord and Saviour for letting me be the right kind of witness:

“I prayed for Faith and it never come, but when I read the Word of God then Faith came.” C. H. Spurgeon

Look at the word at the end of “it never come” – that is a total, all inclusive arrival – because it was asked for in a complete package – notice it never come, which is the proper use of that word.  Even though it looks odd, it is correct – most people would try to correct it, but I assure you with personal experience – it is correct.

There are times, maybe more than any of us would like to admit readily, when we ask for “everything” to come at once, not realizing that the package doesn’t always work like that – I’d even go so far as to say, it RARELY EVER works like that.  Spurgeon said that he “prayed for Faith” – wrong thing to pray for…  Help my unbelief, as in Mark 9:24, when the father of the young child cried out:

“And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” Mark 9:24 | King James Version

We may even pray to increase our faith, as the Apostles did in Luke 17:5:

“And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.” Luke 17:5 | King James Version

Notice what just happened???  How have I personally tried to convince you that Faith is NOT what to pray for?  I’ve done nothing other than GIVE you what GOD had GIVEN us – HIS WORD, the Scriptures.  It is NOT my words that will convince you, nor were they what convinced Spurgeon those many years ago – it was the Holy Word, God’s Holy Word – the rock which we base our Faith.

When Spurgeon “read the Word of God”, then and ONLY “then Faith came” to him.  Just as he needed it, just as he read it, all the way God designed for it to be given – by the intake of His Word into our hearts and minds.

Faith is what you GET when you SPEND TIME in GOD’s WORD.

Statements

The following are the eleven (11) verses taken from the book verses which Dr. Paul W. Chappell shared and a few that have been added in Bible study proving what Spurgeon wrote in his statement about Faith.

  1. Faith Strengthened

Welcome to The Encouragement Chronicles

The SIXTH edition of The Encouragement Chronicles contains some interesting facts and statistics which have me Encouraged!  Listed in the following two tables are just the Facebook tracking numbers shared with a friend within the last week.

Facebook | Where About the Globe Are People Accessing?

USA Bosnia & Herzegovina Brazil Canada France Honduras
Hong Kong Indonesia Japan Lebanon Moldova Panama
Philippines Romania South Africa Uganda United Kingdom

Facebook | Where About the United States are People Accessing?

Alabama Florida Indiana New York North Carolina Ohio
South Carolina Tennessee Virginia Wisconsin

After beginning to think the Global reach was doing well, the actual Website reports were reviewed with these findings:

Websites | Where About the Globe Are People Accessing?

Argentina Armenia Australia Belgium Bhutan
Bosnia-Herzegovina Brazil Canada Christmas Island Cyprus
Denmark Ecuador France Germany Hong Kong
Hungary India Indonesia Italy Japan
Jordan Kazakhstan Lithuania Malaysia Mexico
Moldavia Mongolia Netherlands New Zealand Nicaragua
Norway Pakistan Peru Philippines Poland
Portugal Romania Russian Federation Seychelle Singapore
Slovenia South Africa South Korea Spain Sweden
Switzerland Taiwan Thailand Turkey Ukraine
United Arab Emirates United Kingdom USA USA Government USA Military

Notice that the “golden” countries match the Facebook utilization/access as well on thirteen (13) accounts.  Here comes the the most important statistic of all, this year 64,803 people have accessed the Websites – not hits, but actual sessions, people on machines, accessing the DeliverTheWord.com suite of tools.  The hits registration is into the millions, yes 1,000,000’s of them because that counts the every element on a page, whether that be text, a image, a button or anything else – which is not as statistically important, although some folks really pay attention to it.  There are people who have been influenced by a Family Ministry Website of photos enhanced by God’s Word in fifty-seven (57) countries around the world – fifty-six (56) outside the USA.  It is much more time consuming to figure out where people inside the USA come from, so that statistic is not being presented in this update.

Well worth the effort I’d say – how about you???  Will you help us continue to expand both here in our own city, state, country and into the rest of the known world?  Share a favorite image or Series with someone, so they can be Encouraged too.

Series Showcase | Why Do You BELIEVE What You BELIEVE?

Website | http://delivertheword.com/whydoyoubelievewhatyoubelieve

From a Christian’s perspective, have an interesting question to pose in today’s world of ever changing answers, seriously… Why Do You Believe What You Believe? Am finding more and more people are so quick to say they believe “this” or “that” because “someone else says so”. Very few people have ever said to me “because the Bible says so” or “I believe that the Holy Spirit has convicted me” of this or that. A little more digging often yields a philosophy of doing what a parent, grandparent or close family friend has “always done it this way and I don’t see any need to change it”.

01-ByFaith_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135 02-ByBeholding_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135 03-ByBeingWritten_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135 04-ByConfession_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135 05-ByGoodWorks_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135

Looked at several books on the subject as this Series was being researched, which even further puzzled me. They were either so stiff as to not even present something spiritually possible or so lax as to define a system of beliefs from a worldly perspective which were even MORE crazy to the far LEFT of center. Then of course, THE BOOK was referenced unto the inside of It’s covers a LOOK, the answer was found in a most Encouraging manner.

Fifteen Scripture References

There is a primary image which shares “By Faith” and then an additional fourteen (14) supporting images with Scriptures to Encourage we as Christians to be able to share with others Why we Believe What we do! Those include:

What This Series is NOT

This Series is NOT a Theological debate or an Apologetics study, rather it is a presentation of Bible Scripture references to help each of us as Christians to have a number of reminders of “why” we believe what we believe. Each of us should have direct biblical knowledge of Scripture to answer not only those day to day challenges we are presented with from all directions, but also actual reference information that we go directly, to show others where we get it from as a matter of witness, as well as, confirmation.

06-ByGrace_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135 07-ByHearing_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135 08-ByHeart_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135 09-ByHisName_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135 10-ByLove_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135

Those “putting a finger on it” moments can be a very power motivator for sharing with someone our Faith in Christ. You and I can have a rock solid reason and reasoning for doing what we do for our Creator God, by example of our Lord Jesus Christ, displaying the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in Temple which we are of the Living God.

11-ByMouth_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135 12-ByPreaching_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135 13-ByRighteousness_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135 14-ByTruth_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135 15-ByWitnesses_WhyDoYouBelieveWhatYouBelieve_8x10L_v1_04-135

Let us each live in such a manner that each of these verses will be taken as the Gospel in our own lives and understood to be what are living out each and every day.

Series Spotlight | Lessons From Job

Website | http://delivertheword.com/lessonsfromjob

This very touching and very specifically designed series of prints are special for a number of reasons.  First off, the person who preached the sermons with these headings, just so happens to have been my Youth Director/Pastor from Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church while attending the 9th and 10th grades at Chocowinity High School.  Yes – Chocowinity is spelled correctly… Rev. Jeff Jones is the Pastor of Hilltop Church in Fuquay-Varina (again, that is a correct spelling for those that are not in this neck of the woods).  He knows personally about “seeing things in perspective”, as rough waters have been found his way, giving a “birds-eye perspective” with each of these prints.

Secondly, this very first print (found on this Web page) was designed and given to a VERY dear Brother of a Brother in our ministry. Bro. Bert (the dear Brother) was an outstanding and gifted viewer of perspective…  Each of the series normally starts with a person in mind, as did this one, but as one begins to understand the “why” it is special, that’s when your heart is going to get changed.  You see Bro. Bert died from Prostate Cancer and this one was the print that came directly from me to him.  Even to the last, Bro. Bert kept an eye and heart on God’s perspective.

Our daughter helped with the image choice, which was taken at the JC Raulston Arboretum on the campus of NC State University (for those of you that know me, my Purple and Gold representing East Carolina University has NOT run anywhere).  As blue colors of things were being flipped through, she stopped me at this blue one, exclaiming that it looked like doves hovering around something.  At first, didn’t want to use the photo because of the “imperfection” in one of the petals, which is where from the mouth of babes things come “but Daddy, we are not perfect and that dove right there IS Bro. Bert, they are hovering around because he is getting fixed” – talk about touching…

Bro. Bert was so appreciative and kind with the gesture of appreciation and kindness when receiving his print – for he had been faithful to pray for an item close to my heat, letting me know periodically that he was still doing so.  After explaining the circle of doves and the color blue (pink just didn’t seem to suit him well…), remember him being taken in by the statement as he read it several times – glancing at it over and over and saying yes with each returned look.

A Slightly Different Direction

The set of prints originally started as four (4) images, with of course “Wonderful” in blue, but there are actually 3 sets of them, with the same layout, just different photos.  The following is a list of words in which the prints were built:

  • Wonderful
  • Separation
  • Forgive
  • Decisions

1024×768 (SVGA/XGA) | 1280×1024 (SXGA) | e-Courage

Life is much of what we make of it, which these four prints with a pointed set of stated FACTS, is a fantastic reminder of the four guard posts we should have established in our lives. The reference is an entire book of the Bible: JOB, which is where this series got the name – “Lessons from Job – By Jeff Jones”.  For me it is important, so important in fact that these prints hang in my office, just above my desk to daily remind me of them, should they be even for a moment tucked away in my mind.

Getting Them Into Someone’s Hands

After trying unsuccessfully several times to get the finished set of original prints to Bro. Jeff, finally decided to give them to Hilltop Church’s Youth Pastor to give to Bro. Jeff in hopes that Ms. Rose, Bro. Jeff’s wife, would want to hang them.  From my understanding… They hang in Bro. Jeff’s office – mission accomplished!

The Prints Listed In Order

Each of the four points have a pointed statement boiled down into single words and then a wrapper of phrases is employed to captivate the viewers attention which are described in the following chart.:

  • Wonderful – God’s Wonderful Plan Is Only Wonderful Through His Perspective
  • Separation – Biblical Separation is Your Pathway to Closeness with Our God
  • Forgive – The Way to Forgive Others is the Way God Forgives Me
  • Decisions – Life is the Sum Total of Your Decisions, Every Choice Must Matter

Series Spotlight | I’m Not Going To Go

Website | http://delivertheword.com/imnotgoingtogo

This Series has been nine (9) months in the making for several reasons – (1) it is an odd size, which presents a challenge on how to print them and (2) wanted to consider again how we can have the same response that Moses did for ourselves, our families, our church. An interesting quote grab from Matthew Henry set in motion the purposed delay, it follows:

Matthew Henry’s Commentary On The Whole Bible

“Note, God’s special presence with us in this wilderness, by his Spirit and grace, to direct, defend, and comfort us, is the surest pledge of his special love to us and will redound to his glory as well as our benefit.” (speaking/writing on Exodus 33:16 | King James Version)

We can purpose in our hearts in our daily walk with the LORD to only GO where He Leads, instead of going wherever we want and then think we can “justify” it by asking the LORD to come to where each of us are already.  The statement made by our Pastor (Sermon from October 24, 2012, entitled “A Meeting With The LORD”) is this:

Statement Which Is Basis For This Series

“I’m Not Going To Go If You Don’t Go With Me”

Moses wanted to see God’s Glory in Exodus 33:20 “I beseech Thee, show me Thy Glory” to the point he was willing to do all the things Commanded of Him.  Moses was persistent in his asking how it would be known that His people had “found grace” in the Sight of the Sustaining God.  He further entreats the LORD as he promises to make all his “goodness pass before” Him, that he would “proclaim the name of the LORD” before Him, being also Gracious and showing Mercy to all those who should be.

ImNotGoingToGoIfYouDontGoWithMe_v1_30-Emerald-48x12-600p

His persistence was rewarded on the LORD’s terms – Moses would be allowed to “see” God’s Glory from behind, as “shall no man see Me, and live” was told him.  The LORD indicated a place where Moses would be protected, giving him instruction of where to stand, the expectation of when it would take place and what he would be allowed to see.

ImNotGoingToGoIfYouDontGoWithMe_v1_30-White-48x12-600p

What an absolute PROMISE is presented to us for our benefit – we have to be reminded that we have found Grace in God’s Sight and that He knows our name.

1024×768 (SVGA/XGA) | 1280×1024 (SXGA) | e-Courage

Instructions For Each of Us Today

Would we be so bold as to ask God the Father to show us His Glory? Are we willing to seek Him where we would ask to look upon His Splendor and Magnificence? Will we be willing to seek out His Divine Presence, such that we might be an Honor to Him and make Known His Gracious Provision for all that will “Follow” Him?

ImNotGoingToGoIfYouDontGoWithMe_v1_30-SapphireBlue-600p

We can have that Reassurance and be given Encouragement, by sincerely seeking the LORD’s direction in each area of our lives, not wanting to go anywhere without our Heavenly Father.  Moses point blank asked the One and True God of Creation to show him the Way.  By our prayer, we can be quickened, to be ready to go wherever the LORD leads, all the while refusing to go to or thru those places where He says not to go.

ImNotGoingToGoIfYouDontGoWithMe_v1_30-Artwork-ScriptureAlone-600p

While we do not have the “pillar of smoke” or “cloud” as Moses did in his day, we do have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to guide us.  Knowing what the LORD has done, as in our reading of the Holy Scriptures, will help us to better know what can be asked for, which also gives us the foundation of where to start.

ImNotGoingToGoIfYouDontGoWithMe_v1_30-Copper-48x12-600p

Are we humbled, dedicated and seeking in a manner that we can, along with Moses of old, ask to see God’s Glory?  Will we keep approaching the Throne Room of Heaven until we get an answer as to what we should each do, go, say, consume, refrain from, look upon, touch and run away from?  We can, Moses did – and He GOT what he ASKED of the LORD!

Times of Grief and Loss

Artwork-Design-TimesOfGriefAndLoss_8x10L_v1_02-HeaderLogo-360p
01-myrefuge-TimesOfGriefAndLoss_8x10L_v1_02-Preview
How many times have you and I known exactly what to say to those we are around, or even close to, when tragedy strikes?  Often times we may find ourselves looking from the outside in, where we cannot fully comprehend what the other person is really experiencing.  In those situations we can have sympathy with them, but really cannot be empathetic to the point of understanding of what they are going through emotionally.  It may be even more difficult to understand that this event or series of events did NOT catch God the Creator of Everything off guard and it is HIM that we need to remember Knows all, especially given that we cannot “See” like He does.  If we will turn our thinking around, realizing that this is a moment in time for us, it will become abundantly clear that we can influence others by pointing them to the Bible for Words of Comfort and Assurance which transcends time.

This list is sort of off the beaten path so to speak, because they are not the same as we may have heard others quote in consoling others, or as a minister bespeaking on their behalf.  Most of these are from the Old Testament, as only three (3) of them are from the New Testament.  Interesting to note also, the Old Testament verses of Scripture all point forward to the One who will wipe away those tears of grief and loss… Praise the LORD!

Thoughts Presented In Scripture

Each of the prints completed has a single focal point listed of two words, as follows:

  • 01 | My Refuge
  • 02 | My Rock
  • 03 | He Heard
  • 04 | His Favor
  • 05 | My Peace
  • 06 | My Blessed
  • 07 | New Things
  • 08 | My Comfort

By looking at these in light of how they are presented, each of them comfort in a number of different situations and circumstances.  Several lists like the ones used have been collected, but this set struck the right cord in me and has broadened my own Scripture base – not only being a soothing reminder, but also the reminder of WHO is doing the Comforting.  The Scripture listing can be found on the Series page and of course the prints on the Prints page.

We can have that Reassurance and be given Encouragement, by sincerely seeking the LORD’s direction in each area of our lives, not wanting to go anywhere without our Heavenly Father.  Moses point blank asked the One and True God of Creation to show him the Way.  By our prayer, we can be quickened, to be ready to go wherever the LORD leads, all the while refusing to go to or thru those places where He says not to go.

Bible study to me is one of the most enjoyable, exciting things a Christian can do – it should be a form of Worship for each of us. This Series is no different really than taking a specific topic in our Adult Sunday School class, the Ambassadors. The concept of Moment By Moment has been developing for over three months. The recall of it, which got triggered with a mention of it just a week ago from the writing/creating of this set of thirty-one (31 images total) and thirty-one (31) passages of Scripture.

Beginnings

The Issue of Spirituality, along with this “quarters” lessons were from the Bible for our Adult Sunday School programs. The question was raised from that Study is about the “Issue of Spirituality”, focusing on the Call to God’s People. A few of the statements from the lesson got my attention, with an immediate knowing of the title for this Series: Moment By Moment…

  • Are/Am I Being Spiritual RIGHT Now
  • The Goal: Be More Christ-Like
  • Consideration: Check Up, From the Neck Up
  • Ultimate Objective: To Be More Christ-Like, Walking in the Spirit
  • Indeed: A Call To God’s People

Many verses of Scripture were presented, which a great many of them made the way into the Scripture List in two categories:

  1. Natural Man Versus Spiritual Man &
  2. Marks of True Spirituality

We are in desperate need of Spiritual People in our churches – the world has crept into every corner of our lives – to support and restore each of us. The focus verses of Scripture follow:

Natural Man Verses Spiritual Man

  • I Corinthians 2:14-15
  • Romans 8:6-9
  • I Corinthians 3:1-3

Marks of True Spirituality

  • Galatians 6:1
  • Galatians 5:16
  • Ephesians 4:13
  • Philippians 1:21
  • Galatians 2:20
  • I Corinthians 1:11-12 &
  • Matthew 7:22-23

Going Forward

This indeed is a Call to God’s People – 31 examples of Moments where God’s Holy Word shows us His Plan for our lives. We can indeed live our lives in light of the Scriptures – there are 31 prints, one for each day of the month to remind us of His Promises to us and those Moments we can determine to live because of the Blood of the Lamb, the Lord Jesus Christ!

Welcome to The Encouragement Chronicles

The FIFTH edition of The Encouragement Chronicles for 2013 is a tad bit delayed, but that certainly doesn’t mean that work has been any less moving or busily prepared. The past several months have been tough for me personally, and in a business sense, as the door of one opportunity closed, with it also went a piece of my heart.  One of the  items put upon my pathway is the following, which is a “walking example” of this Family Ministry:

PREFACE in your heart EVERYTHING you SAY or WRITE with I LOVE YOUWRITTEN IN RED

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ did just that, He paid for the Word we have in our seeing, reading and hearing, with His Blood.  That very thing begs the question “What is it that You Speak?”…

There are going to be some changes for DeliverTheWord.com and the tools being used to communicate.  Several on-line tools by other companies and groups have suffered some setbacks, one of the most difficult is Fotomoto, the site used for Greeting Cards and Sales.  Not sure all that will be involved as they have shut down the ordering side of their business.  That tool is rather unique, as it combined several sites together, which allowed for seamless integration of the tools to send and order in the same place. Hundreds of hours worth of work was performed getting that site alone to work with the sheer volume of images – it is a BIG prayer item

On a positive note, Flickr has just been updated and contains nearly the full catalog of photos/images available on DeliverTheWord.com Websites.  The logo will begin appearing throughout The Encouragement Chronicles as it will be updated to include all new and updated Series as they are developed.

These editions will naturally be larger providing everyone with a power packed collection new items to learn about and see how they have been used!

Series Showcase | I Will Look and Wait

Website | http://delivertheword.com/lookandwait

This Series began as a challenge presented to our fellas in our Men’s Prayer Time on Saturday evenings. To be honest with myself, God the Father and everyone, Micah was a book read through several times as part of reading the entire Bible over the past couple of years — nothing stuck out to me either time… This time it has been different because it was presented in the following manner…

 01-InTheMorning-Look-Micah7-7_LookAndWait_8x10L_v1_06-135 02-SeekGod-Look-Micah7-7_LookAndWait_8x10L_v1_06-135 03-MineAffliction-Look-Micah7-7_LookAndWait_8x10L_v1_06-135 04-HeBeholdeth-Look-Micah7-7_LookAndWait_8x10L_v1_06-135 05-FromThePlace-Look-Micah7-7_LookAndWait_8x10L_v1_06-135

Place yourself all those years ago, the time and period that these Scriptures were written, Micah the Prophet was in the exact same type of irreverent society that we find ourselves in today. This Series has bite to it, so be careful to understand where we are today as a society and Believers. The first seven verses of Chapter 7 record for us the following realities shared in both times being considered, then and now:

8x10 Landscape
  1. Looking for something once available, now not there
  2. Traps are commonplace in daily life
  3. People making decisions based on reward, not standards
  4. Every day activities have repercussions, cause pain
  5. Internal turmoil drives people not to rely on or trust family
  6. We make enemies of our own households

1024×768 (SVGA/XGA) | 1280×1024 (SXGA) | e-Courage

Then we come to verse seven (7) of Micah 7, which states:

“Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7 | King James Version

Micah using the word “will” said, he would “look unto the LORD”, “wait for the God of my Salvation” and “God will hear me”. He said then what we should be saying now EVEN stronger, I know what He did, my God can hear me and I know that Someone who can do something about it! Oh how many times have we left God out of the picture until we are in such a predicament that we have now where else to turn? Would not it have been much easier and more simple if we’d have gone to Him FIRST when we realized that it was a challenge or problem bigger than we are?

06-Return-Look-Micah7-7_LookAndWait_8x10L_v1_06-135 07-ShallYield-Look-Micah7-7_LookAndWait_8x10L_v1_06-135 08-OrderMySteps-Look-Micah7-7_LookAndWait_8x10L_v1_06-135 09-Possible-Look-Micah7-7_LookAndWait_8x10L_v1_06-135 10-Eternal-Look-Micah7-7_LookAndWait_8x10L_v1_06-135

Because of what I know about God the Father, the relationship so graciously and mercifully granted by the Lord Jesus Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we can indeed put a “Therefore” in front of all three of those statements, knowing they are TRUE and RIGHT and POWERFUL. Indeed we can “look unto the LORD”, “wait for the God of my Salvation” and that “God will hear me” as a child of the King! What an AWESOME promise that we as Christians need to rekindle within and a INCREDIBLE challenge for us to put forth before a lost and dying world that has NO idea what the Bible is “there-fore”!!!

Scripture from Micah

“The first seven (7) verses from Micah 7 serve as the basis for this Series

  1. “Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.” Micah 7:1 | King James Version
  2. “The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.” Micah 7:2 | King James Version
  3. “That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.” Micah 7:3 | King James Version
  4. “The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.” Micah 7:4 | King James Version
  5. “Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.” Micah 7:5 | King James Version
  6. “For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.” Micah 7:6 | King James Version
  7. “Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7 | King James Version

Series Spotlight | Every Other Word

Website | http://delivertheword.com/everyotherword

This Series is one that has been sitting before me for a bit of time, brought to mind by several men, but most pointedly by an individual who has quite a few more miles down the road than I do. As is often the case, needed a set images to match the Series, which is where this first image comes into the picture. Needed something strong, bold and attention getting – for the first verse of Scripture in this Series is BOLD:
01-36179_EveryOtherWord_Word_Reference_8x10L_v1_04-Preview

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
Psalm 51:10 | King James Version

1024×768 (SVGA/XGA) | 1280×1024 (SXGA) | e-Courage

Very clearly identified in verses 10 through 17 came eight phrases, that as they were considered formed and every other word structure that follows right through with the removal of a, an, the, etc. for keyword sequencing! For example, with verse 10:

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Am not trying to change the Bible here at all – but making it personal does this to it:

Create my heart, God; renew my spirit.

In essence that is exactly what we are asking Him to do, to Create our Hearts – both yours and mine! Talk about JUMP off the page, a crying David over his GROSS sin against His God, gives us a really CLEAR understanding of David’s desire to be close to the God of All Creation. In asking God to create his heart, it is already known that what was being asked for was a heart of wanting to be perfect before His LORD.

8x10 Landscape 8x10 Landscape 03-36091_EveryOtherWord_Word_Reference_8x10L_v1_04-135 04-36234_EveryOtherWord_Word_Reference_8x10L_v1_04-135

The eight verses clearly present these “every other word” combos:

  • Create and Renew
  • Presence and Spirit
  • Restore and Uphold
  • Teach and Convert
  • Deliver and Sing
  • Open and Shew
  • Sacrifice and Offering
  • Broken and Contrite

While the images are one thing for this Series, my challenge to you is to see the Every Other Word challenge presented in this passage of Scripture – it is just simply amazing… May each one of us be willing to follow David’s footsteps in getting before the Throne of Glory in asking the God of Glory for forgive us each and rebuild us daily into what He would have us be! It is in us that are the World to be His mouthpiece and our actions, doings, goings… are what they really hear.

Scripture Verses

There are eight verses of Scripture focused upon in this Series, Psalm 51:10-17 | KJV. It is a cry out to the God of All Creation by David in realization of what he had done in His sight and David’s wanting to make things right.

  1. “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” | Psalm 51:10 | King James Version
  2. “Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.” | Psalm 51:11 | King James Version
  3. “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” | Psalm 51:12 | King James Version
  4. “Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.” | Psalm 51:13 | King James Version
  5. “Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.” | Psalm 51:14 | King James Version
  6. “O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.” | Psalm 51:15 | King James Version
  7. “For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.” | Psalm 51:16 | King James Version
  8. “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” | Psalm 51:17 | King James Version

Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.

Gladly I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures,
Jesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear.

Series Spotlight | The Four See’s

Website | http://delivertheword.com/thefoursees

Cannot tell you how many times as a youngster that the phrase “There are always two sides to every coin, so that means William Allen, there are two sides to the story you are telling…” was “brought” to my attention.  Imagine that?  Well, for those that know me well, a chuckle was just let out and for the others – what can I say…  I’ve always loved a good “story”…

As we ponder the possibilities of this thought, there are actually three sides to every coin -and- three sides to every story.  For the coin, it is front, back and rim, whereas for the story, it is mine, yours and what actually happened.  The tendency in human nature is to favor whichever one serves us at the moment we find ourselves.  People can “see” the side we are on much more clearly than we think they can, through our actions, words, goings and even in what we are silent over.  The cliché ”actions speak louder than words” comes to mind and is a basis for this thought being presented in this “See” manner.

The Four See’s should cause people to take a second or third look at this Series, for we have the cliche of “the four C’s” in diamonds which represents:

  • carat – the points in weight the diamond weighs
  • cut – gives the diamond it’s brilliance
  • color – determines what light is reflected by the diamond
  • clarity – represents the flaws found in the diamond and the obstruction they cause to light

Most individuals would think that list of “diamond” C’s goes from most important to least important, where in actuality it is the exact reverse.  Most people pay attention to how “large” something is as they assign value to the prominence that the object represents.  Those items that are more readily seen by the naked eye are given more weight that the ones that are unseen.

The Four See’s for this Series are the following:

01-XSi37046-Hydrangea_TheFourSees_8x10_v1_01-RGBIII-Preview
  1. Consideration – serious thought, having regard, taking notice of an action, all with a reason to have the right motive in doing an action as unto the Lord.
  2. Consultation – seeking out of another for other opinions, counsel and advice, where a mutual and honest deliberation occurs for the matter of service of the King.
  3. Collaboration  – stepping in the direction of working with others in a manner that jointly fosters harmony and service because of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
  4. Consecration – separating from the World’s way of doing things to dedicate ourselves to Serving and Worshiping God while living the Christian life.
1024×768 (SVGA/XGA) | 1280×1024 (SXGA) | e-Courage

Just as with the “Four C’s” in the diamond classification process, these Four See’s are also in reverse.  We will ONLY do things for God the Father and keep doing them according to His Grace, Mercy and Power, if we address the first thing with fourth See and work backwards.  Take a look at them: separate, step, seek and be serious.  They will fall into order totally OPPOSITE of what the world would have us believe.

OH what a lesson to learn and excitement to realize that while my desire is to get you to “See” what and how the world looks at us, it is MORE important for us to “See” like the Master wants us to do so!  Before we EVER do something for the God of all Creation, we NEED to be in full communication with Him – trust you me, the world will know that we have been.  There will be NO way to hide it!

An incredible set of large Hydrangea bloom balls and one little attention getting Jasmine round out this group of background images.

NOTE: All of the photography presented in this section of this Series is the work of William A. Turner, taken at our home and my office in Raleigh, North Carolina.

There are five (5) images in this set of prints, which are centered around the thought of what “others See” in us as images chosen for each verse of Scripture and “C” presented.

The Four See’s

02-XSi37063-Hydrangea_TheFourSees_8x10_v1_01-RGBII-Preview

Every Other Word

01-36179_EveryOtherWord_Word_Reference_8x10L_v1_04-Preview

This Series is one that has been sitting before me for a bit of time, brought to mind by several men, but most pointedly by an individual who has quite a few more miles down the road than I do. As is often the case, needed a set images to match the Series, which is where this first image comes into the picture. Needed something strong, bold and attention getting – for the first verse of Scripture in this Series is BOLD:

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
Psalm 51:10 | King James Version

8x10 Landscape 8x10 Landscape 03-36091_EveryOtherWord_Word_Reference_8x10L_v1_04-135 04-36234_EveryOtherWord_Word_Reference_8x10L_v1_04-135

Reminders and Influences

XSi27702_WeAreTheLords_RemindersAndInfluences_8x10L-v1_05-Preview

The challenge for today, with a group which can be identified with high regard, is about who we Remind each other of and the Influences we have on other people. Those two words are the focus (1) Reminders – those who have impacted, changed, enhanced us and (2) Influences – the flowing from us into others as God the Holy Spirit has allowed the waters of His Holiness within each of us as Christians. The realization that is desired to be conveyed today is that no matter where you are in your Christian walk, having NO consideration of your age or any apparent difficulty experienced, we have the ability and responsibility to share Jesus Christ the Saviour with all whom we have the opportunity.

XSi27695_Rivers_RemindersAndInfluences_8x10L-v1_05-135 XSi27702_WeAreTheLords_RemindersAndInfluences_8x10L-v1_05-135 XSi27781_Unfeigned_RemindersAndInfluences_8x10L-v1_05-135 XSi27718_Partakers_RemindersAndInfluences_8x10L-v1_05-135

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 | King James Version

This verse shows us that once we have Believed on Jesus Christ as our Saviour, as the Scripture has said (God’s Word), then everything that we do should flow out of us as unto the Lord.

“For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.” Romans 14:8 | King James Version

This Series looks at the life of Timothy, that we might see both the Reminders and the Influences that Paul the Apostle had upon him throughout Timothy’s life. But before we look at those, we need to carefully consider three words from the verse above, “unto the Lord/LORD.” That tied in with John 7:37 and 38 above, gives us a picture of what Christ would have each of us to do – every thing that we do should have the tell-tale sign of being done as though it were being done for/to the Saviour directly. Others should be able to tell the difference between how the world reacts and how we act towards others – especially when we think no one is looking – God the Father is always looking, the Son of God our Saviour is always present and the Holy Spirit resides in us as we are the Temple of the Holy Spirit. Bearing in mind that thought, we are never alone…
