Celebrating The Path Hymn Series

Colors: Explaining How Colors Work With This Series

For this Series, five items have color values, including:

  • Paper
  • Hymn Sheet Music
  • Scripture Text
  • Scripture Reference
  • Design Elements

Palette: Seeing the Spectrum of Color Choices

There are five color choices for those elements which can change, include:

  • Chinese Red (Deep Red)
  • Chartreuse (Bright Green)
  • Chocolate (Brown/Mocha Almost)
  • Country Side Blue (Bright Blue)
  • Mint (Soft Sage/Green)

The paper is a constant – white – 89% whiteness, 110lb cover paper – none glossy, tabloid size paper.

All of the prints will have the actual hymn itself (e.g. Blessed Be The Name) printed in black, as this is the best option to offer which has proven to be the most distinctive and consistent color to use.

The Scripture Text, Scripture Reference, as well as the Design Elements, are the only other elements that are variable – for which they are the same color, except for the Fancy Scroll background element, which is a 70% transparency gradient of that color and has the reference changes.

The King James Version notification, like the hymn, is printed in black which makes it more balanced as a design feature and stands out to the viewer much more clearly given what surrounds it from the design elements present in the print.

NOTE: Please remember that color can be difficult to gauge across all kinds of displays, monitors and printer depending on settings, configurations and papers being used.  The most color accurate (RGB) images conforming to “printers standards” are being used and files being converted, so the most common utilized computers and operating systems will yield the best view possible.
